Chris Atiyah -The power of building relationships to grow a USA desk, and why you should reflect and recharge when relocating abroad

The key takeaways from this episode are as follows:

🚀 You’ll learn about the reality of relocation and why you need to adjust for at least a year in your personal and professional life.

🚀 You’ll get some solid advice on business development in the USA which is centred around relationship building.

🚀 Caring about client relationships and why you shouldn’t overlook the power of good customer service.

🚀 The USA market and building an office overseas - the pitfalls, the learnings and how recruitment is viewed in the states.

🚀 You’ll learn about developing raw talent and how to decipher whether you can, as a business owner, offer the development a graduate needs.

This week I’m joined by Chris Atiyah, CEO of EngTal.

He started working in recruitment at the infamous Sthree group, and moved to Chicago in 2012. Since then, he’s changed his market twice, started his own recruitment company, and has ambitions to scale it from 25 to 100+ people in three years.

It was great to sit down with him and talk about his recruitment career so far, as well as getting into depth about what recruitment is like in the USA.
